He is the author of “Power Marketing for Luxury Real Estate” and a consumer book for homeowners, “Get Your Highest Price” and also “Winning Listing Presentations,” a book for listing agents.
David has listed, marketed, sold or consulted on some of the most prestigious properties in the world including Sunny and Claus von Bulow’s “Clarendon Court” in Newport, Rhode Island (see cover of book), Basia John’s Italian home, “Villa Beata,” the 60 acre Roosevelt family estate in Cove Neck, New York, the Schlumberger family’s palace in Sintra, Portugal and “Sunninghill Farm” in Upper Brookville, New York, home to the owners of Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew and Slew of Gold.
He has been a media spokesperson on international matters for the National Association of Realtors (“NAR”) and has chaired NAR’s International Operations Committee. He was also named by NAR “Instructor of the Year” for the Certified International Property Specialist designation (“CIPS”) and one of the “Top Ten Realtors” in the United States by Today’s Realtor magazine.
He is the founding president of the Manhattan Association of Realtors and the Manhattan Multiple Listing Service in New York, New York.
He has taught and lectured all over the world including Poland, Italy, Portugal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and China. Most recently he has taught in Sweden, Greece and Kenya.
David has been interviewed on most of the major media including CNBC’s “Morning Call,” “Squawk Box,” and “Closing Bell.” He has also twice appeared on CNBC’s “High Net Worth” and had a weekly newscast on ABCNEWS.com. He appeared on “Good Morning America” and “The Today Show,” CNN, PBS and recently did a worldwide call-in radio broadcast on National Public Radio.
He resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife of 35 years, Linda, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Previews. He has two children, Katherine, the executive director of a San Francisco based environmental business council, and Michael, a senior at Colgate University. His dog, Michal, is a loving 13 year-old Samoyed.
